Cabarroguis, Quirino - After a dismal day 1 showing, Ilagan City delegation showed their fighting spirit as the team wins its 3rd Gold medal and added three bronzes.
Jonathan Grefalda of Isabela National High School wins anew in his favorite event, boys secondary discuss throw, defending his title in last year's regional meet. The win makes Grefalda the most bemedalled athlete of the City of Ilagan so far.
Swimming elementary also registered their wins this morning after finishing third in two events.
Secondary Athletics has become the biggest medal source of the division. Roi Vince Resposo is also set to hit the track for the finals of the boys secondary 100-meter dash, where he is favored to win the gold.
Earlier, Ronnie Vince Bangug, Ilagan City's long jumper settled for bronze, behind Cagayan and host province Quirino.
Meanwhile, the Boys Secondary Netters continue to dominate their foes as they crushed Quirino sweeping their first two assignments in their bracket, improving their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals. They are scheduled to play Cagayan tomorrow morning. A win against the Maroons will put the blue spikers on top of their bracket. - agc
